RAWALPINDI - Pakistan army on Wednesday 10-Apr 2013 carried out a successful launch of ICBM Hatf-IV (Shaheen-1). The missile features a number of enhancements in range and technological parameters of the current warhead and is also capable to carry nuclear and non-nuclear warheads upto a range of 900 kilometers, the ISPR told in a statement.
This missile launch, having its destination point in Arabian sea, was observed by Lieutenant Khalid Ahmed Kidwai of General Strategic Plans Division, NESCOM Chairman Muhammad Irfan Burney along with some other senior officials of Pakistan army, scientists and engineers.

Hatf I is a subsonic battlefield range ballistic missile (BRBM) which entered service with the Pakistan Army in the early 1990s. It is deployed as an artillery rocket and has been replaced by the improved Hatf-IA and Hatf-IB, which have a maximum range of approximately 100 km. ReplyDeletePakistan has many long range and short range missiles. One of the most dangerous missile of Pakistan is Shaheen 1 Missile. First version of this missile has a range of 750 kilometers. But there is an improved version of this missile too. Pakistan strategic forces have not yet revealed the range of this improved version of missile. You can read more about this missile here.....
